ABOUT Ohio MBA |
Founded in 1969, the Ohio Mortgage Bankers Association (OMBA) is the leading statewide organization dedicated solely to residential and commercial real estate finance. Our members include lenders, servicers, investors, and a wide range of industry partners committed to responsible home financing and economic growth.
OMBA works to strengthen Ohio’s housing finance system by advancing policies that promote:
• A stable and resilient economy
• Public-private solutions that expand access to homeownership
• A dependable and efficient secondary mortgage market
• Equitable and consistent tax and bankruptcy laws
• Safe, affordable housing for underserved communities and veterans

We advocate at the Statehouse, in regulatory agencies, and through the courts to represent the interests of our members — and to help ensure all Ohioans have access to fair, affordable housing options.

- Annual Convention Access – The premier event for Ohio’s mortgage professionals, featuring national level speakers and content. The 58th Annual Ohio Mortgage Bankers Annual Convention returns to the gorgeous Polaris Westerville Renaissance June 14–16, 2026 just north of Columbus.
- Virtual Events & Learning Access – Beginning September 1, 2025, all employees of OMBA member companies will gain access to a full calendar of virtual education, networking, and thought leadership sessions with new offerings each week.
- Impactful In-Person Events – Each year, OMBA hosts an Affordable Housing Summit, offers a Future Leaders program open to all employees of member companies, and holds a PAC Fundraising Golf Outing. We also organize regional networking events across Ohio featuring timely discussions, industry updates, and opportunities to connect with peers and partners.
